Date No. 2 done, unfortunately!
So today I went out in my lunch break to have date number 2.
It didn’t go exactly to plan.
I don’t think I have been put off by someone so quickly in all my existence.
The guy was extremely opinionated and although he would ask me things he never actually seemed to want to hear the answer before he spoke over me.
He even managed to be rude about a random stranger who came near our table.
He had an air about him I couldn’t put my finger on, not that I wanted to touch him EVER . He was almost belligerent and completely indifferent. He had seemed so keen to meet me but was putting zero effort into making a good impression.
Almost every topic he brought up he had something negative to say. He also managed to belittle my whole existence. Yes that sounds extreme but I’ll give you some examples.
Marriage and long term relationships just make your life feel shorter, don't see the point.
Can’t understand why people feel the need to have children, mini replicas of themselves. Apparently I wouldn't believe the amount of women who had told him in front of their children that if they could go back in time they wouldn't have their children. (Seriously, was he expecting me to agree?) Needless to say I showed how shocked I was by this fact and told him the kids were the best thing I have ever done and I hope I have said that in front of them numerous times.
He doesn’t want to work in an office as he doesn’t like colleagues or boss’s. This guy is a real winner.
He also touched on how companies struggle when they have a CV from a woman of a certain age as you never know if she is going to take off for 9 months to have a child. This guy really was trying hard to piss me off. Actually I take that back. I don't think he was trying at all, I think it just came naturally.
He even said that he’d had his car for 10 years, he could afford to change it but he was too tight. Who advertises that on a first date?
All this just proved how you can misinterpret text. All the times I thought he was being funny it turned out he was being serious. Who knew?
He even managed to insult my car.
He seemed just as keen to leave as I was and we didn’t manage an hour. So imagine my shock when he sent me a follow up voice message asking if I was going to keep searching or we were going to hook up?
Yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck. I dropped the phone and felt disgusted. I think I need a shower and the phone needed anti-bac spray fast.
Funnily enough I had absolutely no issues letting this guy down.
