Breeze date no. 1

Breeze date No. 1

Tonight is the night.

I’m off to London this evening for the first date from the Breeze app.

I am missing the days of dating when I was young and all I had to worry about that day was what I was going to wear. Now, I also have to ensure the kids and my dog have someone to watch them whilst I am out. Nothing is straight forward.

Anyway, the app asks you to confirm you attendance 48 hours before the date and then they send you the location 30 hours before, so I now know where I am headed and just my luck the trains are not behaving well tonight which is going to make it really tight for time to get home from work, quickly change and get to the train station. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly as I am nervous enough as it is, I will be a wreck if I am running late too.

I think I am more nervous because we haven’t communicated which I guess also makes it a little more exciting, but also because he is a lot younger than me, 9 years to be precise and a large part of my brain keeps thinking it is too many years difference.

I guess we will find out.

Ok. So the date went well. Very well.

I was early. I didn't have a choice with the trains. I was either going to be very early or late.

Luckily I was in time for 2 for 1 on cocktails. So I'd finished one before he arrived which settled my nerves.

He was cute and we chatted easily. I was super hungry so although he'd eaten he offered to take me for food and paid. Which I said he didn't have to.

I ended up having a much later night than planned and some stubble rash to show for it.

Yes ladies I have just had my first make out with someone other than my husband in 20 years. Whoop whoop!!

Apparently my profile pics don't do me justice and he tried very hard to convince me to stay at his or to stay at mine. I wasn't quite ready for that and this may sound bizarre but not on a Monday night. 🤣

The main thing is, I feel good and positive and happy. So success!!!
